USAK Staff & Structure

USAK is an ‘umbrella organization’ that carries out several types of studies through different research centers. These research centers are as follows:

• USAK Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies

• USAK Center for European Union Studies

• USAK Center for Eurasian Studies

• USAK Center for American Studies

• USAK Center for Social Studies

• USAK Center for Security Studies

• USAK Center for Economic Studies

• USAK Center for International Law Studies

• USAK Center for Asia-Pacific Studies

USAK does not endorse a particular political view, party, group, or government. It has an institutional structure that provides services and supports itself through the voluntary work of its members, periodical subscriptions, donations, and externally funded projects. Alongside its administrative structure, USAK operates several research centers (listed above). These centers are staffed by academicians, researchers, and other specialists and professionals working on a voluntary basis.

USAK has four supreme boards, consisting of the USAK Board of Auditors, the Scientific Committee, the Administrative Board, and the Honorary Board. There is also an Executive Board, which, in coordination with the Administrative Board and the USAK Economic Enterprise, is responsible for keeping the institution operational. USAK Research Centers are administrated by Ambassador (R) Özdem Sanberk, the director of USAK.
